First, get the flavourful bolognese going. Let it simmer for 20 minutes on low heat, stirring every 5 minutes or so.

Whilst the bolognese is simmering away, prepare the creamy bechamel sauce. Make sure stir the butter and flour quickly to avoid lumps!

Then stir in milk. Once the sauce is thick, turn the heat off, add cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Time t assemble the lasagna! To make the first layer, coat the base of the baking dish with a thin layer of bolognese.

Then, lay a single layer of lasagne sheets, breaking up sheets to fill in the gaps. You can use both dried or fresh lasagna sheets.

Now, coat the lasagne sheets with a thin layer of the bechamel sauce. For the remaining 3 layers be more generous with the bolognese for thick layers!

Finally, top with a thick layer of bechamel sauce then cover with shredded parmesan cheese. Bake for 40 minutes.
